Caches Between Hinton And Edson

Recommended Posts

Im heading to Miller Lake, between Hinton and Edson, for New Years.

I'm looking for any good sites along this route. We'll be heading west on Highway 16 from Edmonton.

I'd prefer if they were somewhat close to the highway as we may not have time to do too much back roading (as much as we love it, especially when 4x4 is required).

Thanx to anyone in advance who can help me with this one.

Hi NEEA

The area between Hinton and Edson is where you will find caches placed by PDOP's and he has a website that gives you information about his hides. I know that PDOP's also creates caches that are designated YLHD and this designation means the cache is close to the highway and easily accessible.

Here is a link to PDOP's webpage where you can get more information.

There is a cache called the The Book Bin that is on the highway between Hinton and Edson. You can use the nearest caches link to get an idea of what other caches are nearby.

Thanx Guys.

We'll be sure to check out as many as possible on our way through. I seen a few that look neat but are off the highway a bit, I sure hope we have time to go exploring. I know from what I've already seen of the area it's gorgeous and the best sites are always ones hidden away somewhere. They're all in my gps anyways, just in case.
