You may want to post this is in the geocaching.com message forum. That is usually were feature suggestions are discussed. With a Pocket Query you can search for icons with Travelbugs only (which included coins) maybe you can request that ad a seperate search field for coins. Quote Link to comment

If there is a trackable coin in a cache the icon does show up next to the cache listing on the hide and seek page. But it's not a search feature. Coins are for caches, collecting, trading, displaying, sharing, and selling. However the owner wishes to use them. Quote Link to comment
