Cannondale Express
Already dealing with caches that are almost imposible to find in the snow, I want to hide some caches in my area, but make them winter user friendly. My attempt is to keep as much cahing going on in the area despite the snow, but at a fair hunt. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
+VO2WW
Hiding Caches In The Winter so as to make them a fair and memorable hunt is a bit of a challenge. It can be done but needs the cooperation of both the placer and the finder. First the placer has to hide in a way that allows finding after snowfalls, hanging in trees, down hollow capped fence posts, in cavities at sign posts etc are all good but when found the finder has to mislead (?) the next finder by leaving multiple sets of footprints leading to possible nearby locations. Not always possible unless the placer has considered this when placing the cache. Quote Link to comment
