Gpsmap60cs In/out Don't Work

My IN/OUT zoom feature don't work. It's been occuring on and off but now is not working at all. Autozoom works and all other functions work fine.

Upgrade to v.4.00 just in case but it didn't help. Seem like a mechanical dirty switches- but both of them?

Any ideas what to do? Can I clean the contacts?

Drat! When I received my Map 60C when they first came out, back in Feb 2004, this happened to me after only one week. It was so new at the time Garmin said this problem had never been heard of. It's not a firmware or upgrade issue.

 

Sorry to say you need to return the unit to Garmin for repair or a replacement, or perhaps to the vendor where you purchased it. I bought mine from TigerGPS and there was no question. They shipped me a brand new unit when they got my return tracking# from UPS.

 

Wish I had better news for you.

Call Garmin and tell them what the problem is. You will probably have to return it but they are very good with getting it/one back to you in a timely manner.
