2005 Best Caches!

Since the year is drawing to a close, lets vote for our favorite LA caches!

I copied the guidelines that were used for 2004, but I am making one amendment: The cache doesn’t have to have been placed in 2005, just found in 2005 to show it is still active. To compensate for this change I am adding the category "Best 2005 cache."

Here are the guidelines:

Caches must have been found within the calendar year (Jan. 1, 2005 to Dec. 31, 2005).

Caches must be located within 60 miles of downtown Los Angeles (N 34.05222, W 118.24278).

Caches must be active at the time of the nomination.

You must have logged a find to a cache in order to nominate it.

Nominate as many caches as you like, including ones that have already been nominated.

Caches must be nominated by at least two geocachers to be eligible for the final "Best of" ballot (unless there are fewer than two caches with multiple nominations in a category).

No self-nominations (cachers may not nominate caches they placed).

Nominations are open until the end of the year. Final voting will happen in January.

All participation is optional.

Any competition must be kept friendly and positive.

As I mentioned on the SCG forum, we have already held this year's cache awards. It was done in conjunction with the 2005 SCG picnic. Award winners are listed in this public bookmark I set-up.

Next year's awards will also be held in conjunction with the 2006 SCG picnic, so keep an eye out for your favorite caches and sometime around July or August the voting will begin again.
