Trying To Find My First Cache

Do I just enter the coordinates of the cache and the coordinates of the parking lot, then use the map screen with "trail up" and walk towards the coordinates, using go to?

Is the correct coordinates for a Meridian platinum DEG/MIN.MM

btw, I don't have the cord to connect to my PC yet, just got the unit used.

Enter the coords (for parking if avail and the cache) and use the maps (or personal knowledge of the area) to get yourself to the parking area. Then, pull up the waypoint for the cache and use the navigation (compass) screen and follow the arrow to the cache. Stop when the Meridian says you have about 100 feet to go, and let it "catch up". Start looking at this point, because you're probably pretty close.

 

Make sure you're on the WGS84 datum and degree decimal minutes (DDD MM.mmm)

Found it !!

Thanx for the tips, it worked like a gem.

Used the compass screen most of the time, especially when I got close.
