+Teamhawaii1981 & blueicyrose
I have had a Tungsten E for about a year. However, I have always gone Paper caching. But in hopes of making the step up to paperless. I am confused about the correct software and what I need to do the following: I am hoping to be able to upload pages to my palm that will give me coordinates, Cache #'s, descriptions, hints (encrypted and decoded), and maybe first 5 logs. I was also hoping of some way to keep track of time visited, took, left, condition, and other notes. Is there software that will allow me to do this? What is it? What is the process for downloading and Hot Syncing the pages? Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
+TFTC
We use GSAK on the PC and Cachemate on our Tungsten E - worked just fine (until we got a Treo, now we use the same software on that). We've also figured out how to store the Cachemate data on the SD Card so we can store thousands of caches' worth of info on it. I'm sure someone else will chime in with details but I'd be happy to help as well. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I also use Cachemate on my Palm M500 and GSAK on my PC. Cachemate is well worth the $8.00 price to register it. GSAK is also worth the $20.00 price to register it after the 21-day trial period. I use Pocket Queries to put the data into GSAK and then Export from GSAK to Cachemate on the Palm. This might help even though it is a bit aged: Paperless with Palm/GSAK/Cachemate GSAK has added some features since we wrote that that make it a lot easier. Let me know if you need any more help!
