+cudlecub
I get up to the DC area quite often now and am looking for other cachers up for nabbing some of the many virtuals around the area. Is anyone planning a trip up that way and looking for others to cache with? Drop me a line with the link on my profile. Quote Link to comment
+donbadabon
For those that haven't done the DC virtuals, they are a lot of fun. You can really do them all in about 6 hours if you rush. When I had family visit last year, I used many of the virtuals as keypoints for their tour of DC. Quote Link to comment
+tiki-4
Make sure you have a digital camera, to help record the answers, in case you lose what ever you are tracking the data on. You can also get a lot of flowerman's caches in the area, as they also hit historical key points. Quote Link to comment
+Old Bet
We did about a dozen virtuals while on a recent visit to DC. Frankly, there were some that we felt were a bit too simple to record. (Do you really need your GPS to find a building the size of the Lincoln Memorial?) But there are some dandies. Here's two I recommend. GC39A9 (Trev's Freedom Cache) Do this one, and you will have plenty of ammunition the next time someone says all virtuals are lame. This is a true challenge to the powers of observation. GCK12J (Last Stop for a Weary Traveler) I guarantee this one will surprise you, especially if you appreciate American history. Quote Link to comment
