+ATMA
Running CacheMate on a Palm with an SD card. Someone told me a few weeks ago they keep the CacheMate DB on their SD card but had the program in regular memory. I have looked that Palm to death and cant figure out how to move just the dada base to the external card. Can anyone give me some directions as to how this is done? Quote Link to comment
+Byron & Anne
I load the data directly to SD card instead of the main memory during hotsync. Cachemate then examines the card and finds the data. If you're using GSAK, like I am, you will have to change in the hotsync dialog that comes up when GSAK is through converting to Cachemate format to put the data in the SD card. hope this helps a bit. Stop looking, because that's not the way it works... http://smittyware.com/palm/cachemate/faq.php#db_card Can anyone give me some directions as to how this is done? http://smittyware.com/palm/cachemate/doc.php#memcard What Byron (or was it Anne) said is one way to do it. The other way, which is a lot more direct, is to use an external card reader and just copy the files to the card then put that in the PDA. Quote Link to comment
+bkfritz
I run Cachemate off of my SD card on a Tungsten E2 using a program called PowerRUN that allows you to run any program from your SD card. The initial startup for each program takes a few seconds longer, but runs normally. I downloaded it from palmwear (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodid=15870) it is one sale till the end of the month for $14. Hope this helps.
