I have made my first cache page using HTML. I have a unique image that I created and works on my computer, BUT how do I give that image to the geocaching page so it will post in the cache page?

Sorry for my ignorance this is my first try at this. I can't believe I made it this far.

The image has to be uploaded to the web. Does your ISP give you server space? If not, there are free picture hosting sites you can use.

Go to your account page, click on edit my profile, go to the thumbnail of your avatar, click on change, click on upload an image. Click on browse. Double click on your image. Upload the image. click on the uploaded image. highlight the URL of the image and copy it. On your cache page write:

 

<p> <center><img src="xxx"></center><p>

 

higlight the x's and paste your image url where the x's are. done!

This post in the Frequently Asked Questions thread, pinned at the top of the "Getting Started" forum, goes through the process step-by-step (using one of my cache pages as an example). Personally, I find it easier to upload the photo to the relevant cache page, rather than hosting it offsite, or putting it on my profile page which is more mouseclicking.
