  1. Sorry, I did not understand that it went to your listing when I made the change. I was worried the cache was sitting in limbo next to my missing socks. Meant no offence.
  2. I live on the boarder of two states. I just submitted my cache in the wrong state--I did this on purpose as the cachers in that area will be the most likely to search for it and I want it on their weekly update email. The approver would like me to submit it in the correct state, BUT he did not say how to resubmit. I edited my listing with the correct state but it did not give me the name of a new review cacher. DO I NEED TO RESUBMIT THIS AS A BRAND NEW LISTING? thanks for any advice, westycrew
  3. I have made my first cache page using HTML. I have a unique image that I created and works on my computer, BUT how do I give that image to the geocaching page so it will post in the cache page? Sorry for my ignorance this is my first try at this. I can't believe I made it this far. Westycrew
  4. Would like to adopt a cache. How do I change the owner? I tried just updating the profile for the cache with my handle--this did not work. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Westycrew
  5. Very cool!!!!!!!! Where did you get them made??
  6. I like your style Shotgun, peashooter & zoom. Were camped next to you so I’m sure we can coordinate some decent panty raids over to Yurtville (aka: Where’s the hotel???). For the close in and sticky, I have a patented Navdog Marshmallow gun. Can you fill a water balloon with whip cream? Just a thought………
  7. Thanks, we did Nightwalker and this is why we were looking for NO. Thanks for the advice, sad to see NO has been shut down.
  8. anyone know of nocturnal omissions in portland. We are having some fun and we want to find it tonight. The Cowboys (westycrew + swampdogz). Tried with hide and seek caCHE AND ONLY CAME UP WITH SOMETHING IN MONTANA.
  9. I have been wondering how u project waypoints exact enough to hide the geo's that you do?????? My old GPS did not project waypoints. We always marked our current waypoint as home, then we used our compass to get us going in the correct direction, and then stopped when our gps as said we had gone far enough (that is we are now Xfeet away from where we started, kind-of a reverse goto). I am very interested to find out if there is a better or more exact way to do this?????
  10. I heard a geo story from a non-goer this week that embodied how I like to think of Geocaching and Geocachers. My friend was taking a wilderness class in the high mountains of Utah. He and his classmates were yuppie medical students who were out to rough it for the weekend. They had their expensive waterproof jackets/pants/gloves/boots along with all sorts of extreme mountain gear. They thought they were really challenging the wilderness and that it could present them with a life and death situation at any moment (freezing to death, starving, dehydration, wild animals). It was late in the day and they were finishing digging in their tents, when some German guy walked into camp with jeans on and a gps in hand. With a German accent he says, "Man you guys have some really nice gear". They asked him where in the world he came from, his reply "I just came down from the peak, found myself a geocache, and now I’m heading down the mountain". Turns out the guy hiked up to the summit in jeans and some regular hiking shoes, dug 8ft in the snow to find the cache, came all the way back down and was heading for the car. He made a few good jokes (again in a nice German accent), and asked if they had any beer. When they didn’t he smiled and waved and headed down the gorge. Turns out they went to look at the guys tracks because they didn’t believe he had done it, but the footprints were there. Not that I advocate for killing yourself in an avalanche or going into the wilderness unprepared, but I admire his drive. Geocachers are a weird and wonderful bunch. We are a passionate group, we thrive in the outdoors, and we always seem to be showing up in the most unexpected places. Its good to be cool!! I hope Oregone is not critiquing this for grammar and or punctuation.
  11. Your still going geoing with me next week, right syn?????? SEEKER
  12. I think all of those video games have burnt up some of his neurons, and he now has the skills to make any of caches into a 5/5. SEEKER
  13. I have first hand knowledge of how Syn makes a cache a 5/5. He doesnt print out the detailed instructions on an already hard to find cache. He then drags his would be geo buddy out for a two hour drive including dirt roads. Then the supposed 2 mile hike turns into 7 miles. And then he finds a way to blame it all on poor little me. Just a small warning for all those to follow. O ya he did buy me dinner so i can't really complain to much. SEEKER
  14. Put us in for A18. Were from Nevada so maybe we could help Oregone out with some of his ideas. Westycrew SEEKER
  15. I think it would be a blast. I love unintended pictures of my best friends picking their nose or squating (or not) for natures call. SEEKER
  16. Just wanted to see my avatar in all its glory SEEKER
  17. I’ve been enamored with oregone ever since I read his first log. In fact I bribed him with PBR knowing he could not resist finding my geo and then logging one of his epic life stories or character building experiences. When I saw he logged the geo, I printed the log and found a nice place with a cold beer to enjoy what was guaranteed to be an adventure into the mind of strangely funny guy who enjoys geoing, soap lather and the possibility of cheerleaders, and of course PBR. Now that we have made Oregone’s head bigger than it already is (im sure he’ll think of a way to make that a compliment—Hmmmmm), my husband wants me to leave on last piece of advice, Keep Your Women Away. I have no idea why he would say that????? WestyCrew SEEKER
  18. I guess the jokes on both of us because he was to drunk to remember. O' ya and he isn't that good at math anyways. Edgefield has some strong Long Island Ice tea's. SEEKER
  19. Great log, thanks for sharing. SEEKER
  20. I think teams will have to be decided on Saturday. We do really need help breaking the above code before then, our first message for the cache will be encrypted. Also, where is the info on the time and place for Saturday? SEEKER
  21. MOOSE DROOL IT IS!!!!!!!!! But I must admit that I take offence to the whole "washing my socks with PBR" comment, I wash all my clothes in it not just my socks. SEEKER
  22. One other point on "the code" there are 26 letter/number combos on the first line and 26 letters in the alphabet. Syn has confirmed this observation. SEEKER
