+2bugs
We have quite a few travel bugs. To keep track of all the little buggers, we put the data into Excel. We would like to add a cell for each one with its total mileage and then be able to sum up the column for a running total of all the TBs mileage. Is there a way to do this in an automated fashion? it would be a big chore to have to manually update the mileage on each bug in order to get a grand total. Any help at all would be appreciated 2bugs www.2bugs.org Quote Link to comment
+Skyman
I would think that there is a way by embedding code to grab the info that your looking for but I believe that it puts a strain on the website system and permission maybe involved. Quote Link to comment
+Skyman
You might try a post on the Geocaching, com Web Site, Forum someone might chime in with a better and informative answer. Quote Link to comment
+*TnT*
It's actually quite simple. Say your bug names are in the "A" column, and the mileages for those bugs is in the "B" column, all you have to do is go to the cell in which you want the total displayed and type: sum=(B1:B33) hit enter and it lotals the values entered in from B1 to B33 (in this example) Where B1 is the first cell containing mileage data and B33 is the last cell.
