How Do I Log This?

Sorry, but you didn't find a Benchmark and it cannot be logged on the Geocaching.com site. What you found was a Public Land Survey System (PLSS) corner, most particularly, the South Quarter Corner of Section 1 (common with the North Quarter Corner of Section 12), Township 12 North, Range 21 West, set by the Franklin County Engineer. The PLSS is a rectangular system of land division used by most of the United States. The markers used, called 'corners', are used only for horizontal location.

Incedentally, the first use of the PLSS was in Ohio in 1785.

Hope this helps.
