  1. Hello. I have a travel bug that is showing in the hands of someone, but has actually turned up in another cache far away. There is no resoponse from the person whom it is in the hands of and I would like to drop it in the correct cache. Looking through the FAQ, it says there is a way to do this, but I do not see the option. Can someone help me out on how to do this so my TB might continue on its journey? Thanks, Matt W. WebbyZ
  2. Wow, I'm so lucky! Just yesterday I invented a tme machine that mimic's the one from Back To The Future. Me and Michael J. Fox are going to test it out tomorrow.
  3. I was just wondering how to obtain a Charter Membership status. Is there like a minimum amount of caches you need to find or is there just a higher fee to pay? And also, is there a benefit of being a Charter Member instead of a Premium Member? Thanks.
  4. Yeah, I guess I could do some of those suggested things. It took me about 5 months just to launch 4 tbs of mine. Plus there is a little extra cost incured there. And as for going to get some tbs from somewhere....do you think it would still be tacky if i went out of town and just started grabbing up tbs?
  5. OK. Well I think already the numbers have spoken and the voting will probably go unamous. I didn't think it would have been a good idea so I am glad I asked.
  6. I am in the process of starting up a TB Hotel type cache and I am looking for TB's to put in the cache. Many of the caches around here don't have travel bugs in them. And the ones that do, I have already visited. I am wondering if it is considered tacky to go and collect travel bugs for my hotel from caches I have already visited and from ones that I own. I figured I would ask before people got mad at me. Thanks a bunch.
  7. Well, I am a computer programmer. Or at least thats what I have been going to school for for a couple of years. But as far as I know the waypoints should be saved to the SD card. I don't have an SD card reader so I couldn't get the stuff off of it. And I do use NiMh batteries in my cobra. But I don't think that my cobra has a built in charging circuit. So I bought a charger from RadioShack and it seems to work great. I get about 5 hours of continuous use out of my 2000mAh batteries. And I always carry a second set. I don't know if I would want to take the time to make such a program for waypoints since I would have to figure out how the waypoints are made and adapt that to the .loc and .gx format. I would almost rather go out and spend the money on a new GPSr. But that's just me.
  8. As long as I have had the unit, it is performed excellent. I have had a Garmin eTrex Legend before and although I liked the size of the garmin, the Cobra has a more solid feel to it. And the Cobra accels in dence foliage. With the Garmin I could hardly ever find a cache in the woods because it would not be able to pick up the sats. The cobra almost always has a signal in the woods and the accuracy is usually between 17-25 ft. So although I guess that I don't own the most desireable model around, it still seems to do the job. One day I would like to get somehting with a Color display and at least 128mb of mem with room for expansion. That would be nice.
  9. I was just wondering if there is any compatiable software that I can manage my .gpx files with for my Cobra GPS 1000. I have tried the few on the waypoints page like GSAK and they are only for Magellean and Garmin. Does anyone know of any other programs that I can use? Thanks a bunch!
  10. I found a benchmark disk while Geocaching in an open field in Franklin County Ohio. I snapped a picture of it but I cannot find out where to log it. I do not see it on gc.com or in the gov pages. Can anyone help me out?
