+derrylynne
I have installed cachemate in my pda. The problem is that I do not see hints even though I am a member of geocache.com and download the gpx files. Does anyone else have this problem? Or had anyone had this problem and resolved it? Deego
How do you get the GPX into cachemate ? do you use CMconvert or GSAK? are the hints not there or are they still encrypted? Quote Link to comment
+derrylynne
I use cm convert, but have tried using gsak. Neither seem to give the hints Quote Link to comment
Deego
I will have a play around when I get home. but it seems a bit strange. Might be worth removing it and install it again. Quote Link to comment
+derrylynne
thanks deego. How do I remove it from the pda first though? Or do I just reinstall over the one that is there? Quote Link to comment
+Birders
If all else fails.. try GPX Sonar. This displays a list of caches... tap one and up comes the page as seen on GC.COM (if you have WiFi is accesses the "live" page). Alternatively, hold the stylus on the cache and you have an option just to show the hint. Dashed clever in the field.. Quote Link to comment
markandlynn
Cachemate uses multiple pages are you looking at the overview page ? Tap the H at the top right of the screen for the hint page Also does the cache you are looking at have a hint at all? oops almost forgot you need to tick the export hint box from gsak as well !!! +derrylynne
Thanks guys. Found the problem in the end. When I downloaded the gsx file, I opened it with easygps first, and this stripped down some of the info. I found I had to import the raw file first in cmconvert for it to be converted to pda. Works fine now thank god. Quote Link to comment
