Emcs August Road Trip

Greetings!

I'll be performing in Steamboat Springs, CO on August 9, and driving out and back, finding caches as I go, of course! If anyone out in NV, UT and CO have any recommendations for caches (any type, difficulty, or terrain!) along the way, please let me know!

I assume you'll take 15 to 70E. Right?

 

There is a virtual at Cove FT, UT, where 15 & 70 transition. Also Fremont indian pictograms near there are pretty neat, too.

 

By Green River, UT is a geyser that is easy to get to. If you're interested in this one, we'll give you directions from 70.

 

Exit 2 in CO has a cache at a dinosaur dig area.

 

Caches at each of these places, of course.

Your are correct about the route! Thanks for the recommendations - I'll certainly look in to these! How do I get to the geyser?

If you were coming a wee bit farther to the East I could give you a good cache tour. I found one in Utah at a rest stop, the views are just awesome.

I driving up through St. George and Cedar City, then all the way east through Richfield and Fruita...

Sorry for my tardiness. Kind of lost track of this one.

 

To get to the geyser, take the second (Eastern) exit for Green River, UT. Head South. Follow the frontage rd. East, South, & finally West for several miles. (Its on several maps. ) There is even a cache out there.

I did go out to this unusual geyser, and it did some bubbling. The scenery all through UT and CO was spectacular! Thanks for all of the great recommendations!
