+HummerH1
I have just got a 60CS and I am only getting 8hrs or so on a new set of batteries, what do you get? I know about the battery saver mode and compass, but surely it should be better than 8hrs? HummerH1 Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
Using rechargable batteries I get about 16 hours. A couple of things you might want to check, is the battery type set correctly? Is the backlight on? The backlight can be set to stay on all the time and will really reduce the battery life. Quote Link to comment
mtbiker_sk
12-16 hours with compass/backlight/waas OFF ...when using on a bike tour or hiking, batt: 2300 mAh Quote Link to comment
ImpalaBob
In a tight situation turning the audible beeps off will also lengthen the battery life. ImpalaBob Quote Link to comment
jb_from_texas
I'm guessing i get somewhere around 20 hours without compass on. i drove from central florida to Dallas/Fort Worth, using autorouting feature, turning on the back light quite often, and made the entire trip with just a bit of batt life left. the batteries werent even fresh ones when the trip started. total drive time was 17 hours. so, 20 hrs without compass, just like Garmin states. like previous posts, i would suggest you check your settings.
