+Jeeping Family
OK, so I can upload up to 64 Meg maps into the root directory of the SD card, right? And, the larger the map, the longer it will take to give me the detailed map when the map has to move? Quote Link to comment
+embra
Right on the first count, if you are talking about a Meridian and you are talking about some program *other* than MapSend Topo3D. You can go bigger with T3D. On the second count, I don't think so. There are some other places where time comes in, such as generating the map file on the pc. It may take a little longer to load a bigger map (not sure). But the screen redraws only have to deal with a small section of the file, so they shouldn't be affected by map size. +gpsjeep
I have a Meridian. I also have a 64 meg card card with about 60 megs of maps loaded. Four regions to cover an area from FLA. to VA. and I have no problems with it being slow. As embra said, the screen redraws only have to deal with a small section of the file at a time and imo, it's not really noticeable if at all. -Jeff Quote Link to comment
