+bykenut
I will be flying in and out of Syracuse, NY this summer for the Bon Ton Roulet bicycle tour. I probably won't have my bicycle while I'm in Syracuse and was wondering it would be worth it to rent a car for a day, just for the purpose of caching. Are there any "must do" caches within a 10 mile radius of Syracuse? Also, I hope to do some caching during the bicycle tour, which will be around the finger lakes region. Are there any highly recommended caches in that area that don't require any hiking? Quote Link to comment
+rjw661
The first two that come to mind would be "Jerry & the Abolitionists"(GC420B) and "Soldiers of 1812"(GC7F34). The first is a virtual right in downtown Syracuse and a great bit of local history. The other is a regular cache on the south side. After those two just about any one along the old Erie canal or in Green Lakes State Park. Quote Link to comment
+brian b
Many of the caches placed near SU have recently been archived, for some reason Anton thought that the virtuals had run their course; there are, however, several on campus, and there is a web cam cache right near the Univeristy Sheraton.
