+GeoGrampy
We take cruise ships or airlines now and then and I was wondering if the x-ray scanners used in those locations adversely affected the GPS units? Has anyone had an experience with this? Quote Link to comment
+Blaidd-Drwg
As a frequent flyer, I can state with great certainty that the xray machine does not affect my GPSrs Quote Link to comment
+Team DEMP
And I'll 2nd that. I always carry it on with me, in my computer bag. The GPS and the computer get scanned all the time - no problem. And if you're gonna ask a follow-up, it depends which airline you're on if you can take the GPS out and power it on once you reach cruising altitude. Quote Link to comment
HIPS-meister
GPSes are electronic devices, much like computers, that should not be affected by scanners. I routinely carry them in my carry-on luggage; I do not routinely check them through. Quote Link to comment
