dancy
I have a Garmin Etrex Vista and my friend picked up an Etrex VistaC. On mine, the ac power cable has the square garmin connection that slides into the back. On his newer VistaC, there is only a usb looking port, and we can't seem to find anywhere to buy a ac power cable that is usb on the other end. Any ideas if there is such a thing for the VistaC? dancy
But have you seen a AC power adapter to USB cable for sale from Garmin anywhere? He want's to mount it on his ATV and power it with its ac power. Quote Link to comment
peter
His ATV has household AC power but no 12 VDC? Here's one 12 VDC to USB plug: http://www.21st-century-goods.com/page/21st/PROD/WNSP/ZipDC Here's a 110 VAC to USB: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Pr....CBU+ZIP-PWR-AC Don't have any experience with either. +timaford
I have a Vista C and I purchase my power adapter from www.gpscity.com. There part number is ZIP-PWR-DC and it is called a 12V DC Cigarette Lighter Power Plug for USB Cable and it's price was $6.95. Then you use just a regular USB cable for the GPS to the power adapter. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
+Rubberhead
You should also be able to use a cheap powered USB hub and the Vista C's USB cable to power the unit. This is the one feature I wish the 60CS series had - power over USB. Quote Link to comment
