Guest Mahlon
I'm new to this, and kind find a FAQ or note on decrypting for further directions to the cache. How do you decrypt? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Guest cache_ninja
no worries if you want hints just click "decrypt" on the individual cache pages if its there. some pages do not have encrypted hints. some people looking for caches prefer not to look at the hints, or not to look at them until they have tried finding it w/out them. c/n [This message has been edited by cache_ninja (edited 02-05-2001).] Quote Link to comment

Guest Bob Pebly
The coding used is called ROT13 (rotate 13). The easy way to decode it is to simply follow the link provided. If you prefer to not peek until you are stuck in the field, just print the main page with the encoded clues and then if you get stuck, decode it as follows. ROT13 uses the alphabet rotated by 13 characters, so A=N, B=O, C=P, ..., L=Y, M=Z - simply substitute the letter that is 13 away in the alphabet. Quote Link to comment
Guest jeremy
Heh. Perhaps a Geocaching decoder ring is in order. Quote Link to comment
