cad-guy
I just got my new garmin legend. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to download waypoints from geocache.com to my new garmin? Thanks cad-guy Quote Link to comment
+elgecko
Yes you can. I did it last night with my Legend that I got last night. You can use EasyGPS to send them to the unit. Quote Link to comment
+NightPilot
Not directly from the website, but from your computer, yes. There are a number of programs that will do it, depending on the OS you're using. Read the FAQs and you should get enough information to get it done. Quote Link to comment
cad-guy
I would like to use some software that would enable me to sort them by distance from my home or by date. Anybody know which software might do that? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+hooter198
Most of them will sort them. I use Geocache Swiss Army Knife. You just have to set your home cordinates as the "active waypoint" Quote Link to comment
+NightPilot
If you're going to cache, you need GSAK. It will sort the waypoints by whatever attribute you like, filter them however you want, and send the results to your GPS and to almost any other program you can name. It also takes the waypoints from your GPS for backup if you want. Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
Can't beat GSAK for slicing, dicing and filtering your data. Free trial too. (Actually, totally free, but it nags you after 21 days, and after you use it two or three times, you be glad to contribute the nominal cost to keep it going). Quote Link to comment
+Tervas
EasyGPS should get you started, look here, but GSAK is the best (IMHO) Quote Link to comment
cad-guy
Thanks everyone. I tried the GSWK and looks like is is going to work great. I appreciate all the input. Quote Link to comment
