+TinkrBell
Could someone help me with logging a find? I'm a new geocacher and I've successfully found 3 caches but I cannot seem to get the finds logged. I've looked through the help but all I found was to email the owner of the cache, which I did. I also tried selecting the cache and logging there, but nothing. I feel kind of silly asking what seems to be such a simple task. Have I missed something? Can someone help me? Quote Link to comment
+New England n00b
Don't feel silly, I had to ask the same type of questions when i started, too. First, login to your geocaching.com account. Find the page for the cache you have found. In the upper right, you will see a blue bar saying "Log Your Visit". Click this. You will get a form where you can type in your notes. Make sure you select "Found It" from the pull down box at the top!. Also, make sure the date is correct for when you found the cache. Once you are satisfied, hit submit and you should see your log on a new page with a grey background. You are done! Repeat as needed. Welcome to geocaching, and Happy New Year! Quote Link to comment
+TinkrBell
Thank you for replying so quickly. I also tried as you suggested on each cache and clicked the submit, but nothing. Does it take a while to update the finds? Quote Link to comment

+wspencer2
I need some help on logging too. Both my wife, Annielee, and I, Wspencer2, have established geocaching accounts. Either one of us might log a find or a search. We each have our own computers. The trouble is that the one who actually logs seems to get the credit but not the other. How should we log a two person search and keep the number of memos down to a minimum. Quote Link to comment
+jmorris9999
Whoever logs it is the one that gets credit. I think that you are going to have to each log it as a find. I know that chachers that go out together do that. Either that or you'll have to create a new, joint account. Quote Link to comment

If 3 people with 3 different usernames found it, you'll need to log out each time and let the other 2 log in with their own names. Then each of those people will log it individually. Hope that helps.
