Has anyone tried creating WAP databases of geocaches? This could be a pretty killer combination. Completely 100% portable. Manned with your GPS tracker in one hand and your cell phone in the other.

If I knew any WML (that's what it's called, right?), then I might upload a WAP page. However, I don't. I have a friend who is well versed both in WAP and in CGI scripting - I'll see if he'll "hook us up." Until then, keep up the good ideas.

I played around a bit with WML and created a geocaching site for WAP.

There's an emulator page on www.wap.com if you want to see what it looks like. No bells and whistles ... yet.

I'll post it on the front page after I get all the bugs worked out of it.

The PDA crowd are putting the GPS, the WAP, and a map all in one handful. This is approaching magic: you aim your PDA at some object and all the information about it in the world comes up on your screen.
