+hedberg
I have found two caches nearby that have got a different kind of "-" than the normal "-". Check this out: Two Jasy caches: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...93-ee260b7ec4c3 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...21-d98c70255d74 At the first one have he a longer - in the cachename compared with the second one. If you also look at the <TITLE> field in the top of the window frame, then the first one turns into a wide | instead. The same with these two: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...2d-036f234e0274 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...ac-225f8b7fe5d7 I asked them, and they have just entered a regular - when submitting new caches. Perhaps Geocaching.com do have a bug of some kind? The same thing can be found in GSAK, where the longer - gets listed as a wide |. Strange... Link to comment
+DieSchnueffler
I can't see any bug. Which browser do you use? Link to comment
+New England n00b
I can see the difference in characters as well. Is it possible that one typed it directly into the submission form, while another copy pasted from MS Word or some such thing? It looks to me like a different ANSI character was used. Don't remember how to compare them though. Likely that the longer "-" is an extended ANSI character and is misinterpreted by GSAK... EDIT: I don't see a vertical bar using Internet Explorer... +The Leprechauns
Yesterday's "Bug" didn't pan out too well, so you had to search for a new one? Link to comment
+hedberg
Well, we had 2 events here and I looked if anyone at the events had found 100/200/300 and so on at the events. But I found out that you couldn't trust the information since the website where telling two different values depending if you looked at their profile page or /seek/nearest.aspx?UL= About this matter, the -, did I spot it the first time a while ago, but found it again yesterday. There is some more things, like <TITLE /> in the top of a page, which I can't find now. Perhaps it has been fixed the last couple of days. Link to comment
