Our Excellent Adventure

Thought you all might enjoy a good laugh, <_< so here is a fuuny episode of very new geo-cachers (Only have done 12).........here is our log....from the blue hill adventure......LOL...........Cachette, GeoJenn and I had, what started out to be, a nice hike! Found this cache and Big Blue. Going UP was okay... coming back down, not so much. We are still somewhat new to the whole GPS Geocaching thing - so, entering the coordinates from where we begin does not cross our minds until it's time to go back. You'd think that it's common sense to assume that if you're heading "down" that you're going in the right direction... Follow the stream!! we were always told in Girl Scouts.... Well, twas a chilly day, started to rain and dusk was creeping up on us. FINALLY made it back to the street after a couple hours of trying NOT to panic. The way we hit the pavement would have made you believe we just came down from the Rockies. We were so happy!...until we realized that we had no idea what street we were actually on. Hmmm... this isn't where we parked the car! We walked along the street for awhile, unsure of just how far the car was. Seemed like an episode straight from I Love Lucy!....rain, giggles and all...... All I have to say is AMEN for cell phones... used ours to call our sister to come get us and drive us back to the car. She is still laughing at us about it. We will learn how to use our GPS a little better before venturing deep into the woods again! Hey, we had fun and made it home safely! Took something and left something... can't remember either of them! Too funny.
