+Birdsong-n-Bud Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Hi everyone....new geocachers here. We are interested in doing Travel Bugs, but am not sure about the difference between "Retrieving" one and "Grabbing" one. It doesn't explain the difference between these two terms well on the "How to use a Travel Bug" page: (www.gecocaching.com/track/howto.aspx) Can anyone clarify for me, please? Thanks much. Quote
+LordSaw Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 If you find a TB in a cache, and when you go to log it, it is listed as being in the cache where you found it, you "Retrieve it". If someone hands it to you for you to place in a cache for them you "Grab It". There are other reasons to "Grab it" such as when it was not listed as being in the cache where you found it. After waiting a suitable length of time for someone to log it into the proper cache, you can "Grab it". A search of this topic will find more information concerning this topic. Hope this helps. +Birdsong-n-Bud Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 Thank you for your reply. I didn't realize you could "grab" one without going out and retrieving it on your own from the cache itself. That definitely does clarify. Thank you! Quote
