+OrthoGuy
Hi, We are planning a trip up to Virginia over Labor day weekend and I wanted to get some local advice as to the coolest places in Virginia (outdoor wise). Obviously we will be caching and we perfer the more adventuresome type caches. What are the most breathtaking areas and what caches do you recommend? We live in western N.C. and may come up the BRP. Thank you for your help! Regards, Orthoguy P.S. Please feel free to Email me directly. Quote Link to comment
+Nighthawk700
If you go to the very end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, that'll put you right on Skyline Drive, which is another wonderful road, right through Shanandoah National Park. Lots of outdoor stuff to do in and around the park. Just watch the speed limit, it drops from 45 on the BRP to 35 on Skyline Drive. Louis Quote Link to comment
+OrthoGuy
Sounds good but do they allow caches in the park? Quote Link to comment
+Wandering Celts
Sounds good but do they allow caches in the park? There is one cache called The Vikings Treasure Cave that while inside the park boundry is on private land and was placed with permission.
