  1. Sounds good but do they allow caches in the park?
  2. Hi, We are planning a trip up to Virginia over Labor day weekend and I wanted to get some local advice as to the coolest places in Virginia (outdoor wise). Obviously we will be caching and we perfer the more adventuresome type caches. What are the most breathtaking areas and what caches do you recommend? We live in western N.C. and may come up the BRP. Thank you for your help! Regards, Orthoguy P.S. Please feel free to Email me directly.

  5. Im not one to reply to forums but due to the frustration of my experience I think I will this time. I used a Ram mount for my Meridian. When I picked up a 60cs I decided to get a Garmin mount. I absolutley hated it. Maybe the roads are rougher here in the mountains but it was all but useless and consequently it broke. As a nice surprise the Ram mount for my Meridian works great for the 60cs. If I were to purchase a mount again I would certainly go with a Ram. Btw these were windshield mounts.
  6. Thank you HC for your time and effort. It is much appreciated by all of us. OG
  7. Thank you for your enlightning response, after only doing this for a short while, well I just had no idea. Warm regards
  8. I have a cache that I submitted this past monday that has yet to be approved. Is there something that I can assist with to get this done. Thank you. Orthoguy
  9. I just wanted to drop a note and say what an inconvience it is that the powers that be droped the watch list from 100 to 50 if you have a regular membership. I host a number of websites and know how important premium memberships are and I have no problem with offering extra services for such a membership but it is bad business and poor form to cut back on existing services (That folks are already using) in an effort to force folks to upgrade. Thanks for the great site otherwise
  10. Thats very interesting Stunod.... I should give that a try. This weekend I was having a lag of 60 to 80 feet. I love the features of this unit but I have never experienced this type of lag before. The ifinder had almost zero lag but almost no features aka being waterproof which ultimately led to its demise.. Are the Garmin's better in this department?
  11. The lagging is incredible....I had an old IFINDER that had no where near the features of the Magellan but it had almost zero lag. I hope that the update helps. Thanks
  12. Also, can you go from 4.02 directly to 5.12 without any other updates? Thanks.
  13. Hi fellas, I have a meridian platinum running Ver. 4.02 and I am experiencing severe lag. When I went to Thales site they have an update 5.12 . I was wondering does this fix the lagging issue? And are any of you having any trouble with this patch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
