+archeangelsk2002
hello form the olde bald headed archie to everyone that replied to my first post, thank you for the information. on one post i read, someone was looking for the least expensive map source cd-rom,unfortunately, there arent any real inexpensive map source cd-rom, i got my points of interest map source cd from www.garmin.com. it cost 59.95 plus postage. i checked around and the least expensive i found was the garmin website. i intend to get the metro guide map source cd here in about 2 weeks. i also learned that being extremely bald, one must definetly wear a hat. i was so wound up in what i was doing i got my head sunburned. so, for the time being im now the old bald sunburned head archie. which brings me to what i think is very important. 1.) USE A HAT AND SUNSCREEN!!! 2.)HAVE WATER AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES WHILE OUT CACHING. (I HAVE AN OLD ARMY CANTEEN WITH WEB BELT, IT CAME IN HANDY TODAY). 3.) KNOW SYMPTOMS OF ALL HEAT RELATED INJURIES AND ILLNESSES!!! AND KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEM IN A FIELD ENVIROMENT!!!! most of the above is common sense but a small remnder is a good thing. i learned today that even if you dont find the cache at least you are getting some good aerobic excercise, i went looking for 5 caches here locally and only found one. i also cross paths with a large unattended german sheppard...im glad he was friendly!!!!!! regards to all the old sunburned bald headed archie Quote Link to comment
