+Tahoe Skier5000
I don't have a current tester unfortunately, so I was curious as to if anyone else here tested the current draw on the GPS V? I need usage with backlight ON and OFF, as well as battery saver mode. t.i.a. Edited July 8, 2004 by vw_ev Quote Link to comment

peter
'Battery Save' mode will make more of a difference when the unit has acquired a lock and you are going in a fairly predictable motion. In that case it turns off the radio reception for 5 seconds and when it reacquires it checks if the new position is near what it would have predicted from your previous motion. If it is then it goes back to 'sleep' for another 5 seconds. Quote Link to comment
