YeOleImposter Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 I read somewhere and now I cannot google the answer. I have hooked up my Garmin -> PC cable to my Serial T3 -> PC cable with a null modem connector but they still won't talk. I remember reading somewhere that there is a software problem with the T3 and someone developed a little program to fix the interface on the T3... Any clues? Quote
NightPilot Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 (edited) Don't talk in what way? What software are you using on the T3? All Palms should have the same pinouts, so it should work with the correct software. Among the possiblities are Cetus, Mapopolis, Cachemate, and many others. The Garmin must be set to NMEA interface for navigating, and to Garmin interface for exchanging waypoints. If you already have all this done, and still can't get it to work, I'm not sure what the trouble could be. Edited June 21, 2004 by NightPilot Quote
YeOleImposter Posted June 21, 2004 Author Posted June 21, 2004 Correct. I am trying to get cachemate to export waypoints to my garmin - and it cannot make contact with the T3. Quote
PDOP's Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 (edited) Ye Ole I've seen it discussed on the GPilotS mailing list. Edited to add link Edited June 22, 2004 by PDOP's Quote
YeOleImposter Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 Thanks, there does appear to be an answer - for $10.00 you can download a patch to the palm OS - hmmm. May give it a spin for the 14 day trial period if nothing else turns up. Quote
