4x4cache Posted April 16, 2004 Share Posted April 16, 2004 I just got the Delorme Topo 5.0 USA and was woundering if anyone can tell me how to either download waypoints either to the 60 or from the 60 into Delorme. There is no USB setting for the Garmin in Topo 5.0 and to me the software is preaty useless if you can move data from one to the other. I also have ExpertGPS and it doesn't seem to reconize file data generated by Delorme Tope 5.0 either. Quote Link to comment

Often one will work until they write the upgrade that specifically supports your GPS. Ok, this is what I did. I got it to work but I had to buy a cable for a 76c. It has the same serial/power plug end as the 60cs has, and the cable plugs in to the serial port on my computer. So I tried downloading from my 60 to Delorme Topo and it WORKED! So I happier now, short some cash ($35) but happier that I'm able to exchange data now. I tell yah, the units are cheap no matter how much they cost, it's all the software and other accesseries that you end up buying that cost. Quote Link to comment
