GO 4X4 IT
I just got a Garmin eTrex and I need help on entering destination coordinates for a cache. I am not sure how or where to enter the cache coordinates. Any help would be great. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+nincehelser
Act like you're marking a waypoint from the main menu. That should bring you to the screen with the guy holding a flag saying "OK?". Using the top two buttons on the left of the etrex, you should be able to scroll down to the bottom where the Lat/Long and elevation are shown. Press the "Enter" key (Bottom button on the left) and you should be able to edit the lat/long to what you need, then scroll back up and say "OK". After you get used to the process, it should be self-evident. This is a basic function you need to know how to do, but if you get serious about this hobby, get a cable and the EasyGPS software to download the waypoints from your computer. It's a big time saver if you do a lot of caches. George Quote Link to comment

+Renegade Knight
Down the road you will want a cable and easy gps to download coordinates directly from this site. Hard to beat not having to type nuthin. Wherever you go there you are. Quote Link to comment
