+Mark 42
UPDATE: I ordered the Magellan SporTrak Pro yesterday, and they shipped it same day, and according to UPS's online package tracking it will arrive tomorrow... Ordered on Monday, Recieved Wednesday... Excellent Service! _______________________________________________________ I found a really nicely featured GPS on clearance. There appear to be two models. There is the Magellan "SporTrak Pro GPS System" for $129, but they were sold out of this model, however, ita appears that they are back in stock now. They also have the "SporTrak Map GPS System", which is only $99 and is similar. Here are two links to the sales on the $129 and the $99 one, followed by three more links which allow you to compare the SporTrak GPS, GPS Map & GPS Pro models. http://www.flyingjestore.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowItem&item_number=3&product_code=EL259&sku=100 http://www.flyingjestore.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=ShowItem&item_number=4&product_code=EL259&sku=100 http://www.gpslocators.com/maspgpshare.html http://www.gpslocators.com/maspmaphagps.html http://www.gpslocators.com/maspprogpsre.html The one for $99 seems to be a great deal, with many features. It has maps of North America built in, and other features, including a fish & game computer... it can tell you where high probabilities of finding fish & game at certain times of year might be... Probably has tide tables built in, it does have sunset & sunrise & moon phase data for the location of each waypoint you ask it about (which could be where you are, or a location you entered into the memory on the GPS unit). But the one for $129 has more memory, which is recommended for hikers & outdoorsman (Link Below). IF THE GPS SALE SHOWS "sold out"... Try it again after a little while. I checked on the $129 one this morning, and it was sold out... then I tried it again a few minutes ago, and it was back in stock (So I ordered one before they showed up as gone again). This was the second time I saw it change to Sold Out and then back to available. I checked with Flying J (the seller) to see if they were reconditioned (their website title is "Factory Reconditioned Items")... because it didn't have the reconditioned item Icon next to the item like other items did. They told me it is in fact brand new, in the box, and complete with instructions and everything else that it is supposed to iclude. Here is a link to "What to Look for in a Hiking GPS": http://gpsinformation.net/main/gpshiking.htm I also found an online rebate coupon... https://www.magellangps.com/en/store/promotions/30_50_75.asp Hukt un fonix werkt fur mee Quote Link to comment

+briansnat
Hard to pass up that deal...even though I'm a Garmaniac. "Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day" - Dave Barry Quote Link to comment
ScrubJ
Got my Sportrack Map just yesterday. No tax, no shipping, new in box, with all incidentals. Love that Flying J deal! I don't know which is worse, the ants I'm standing in, or the sand spurs I walked through to get here... Quote Link to comment
