Archived Caches

In the last 2 days GeocacheUK have shown many archived caches on their interactive map, including some by 'gpswalker' which are apparently archived for 'political reasons'. I've also come across 30+ caches by Robin Lovelock which seem to exist but are archived. What should I make of this?

I suggest you post this question on the G:UK forums, so that the Cat or Teasel can give you a proper reply. There is a option to show archived caches on the maps, but you are unable to download the details of these caches from there.

Actually I think that person has a disagreement about site usage and doesn't use this site any more. But would it seems still caches

Looks like the site is listing caches that were placed on the other site - talk to teasel he can explain whats going on.

 

If you want to know about Mr Lovelocks story I suggest you do a search on the UK forums and read a lot of arguments. After that, please let it lie as we really don't want to go there again!

Let the history lie, certainly, but not the issue of (presumably) unrequested inclusion of archived caches in G:UK listings.

 

However, as has been suggested earlier in the thread, that is an issue which is best reported directly to G:UK, since it is not the responsibility of this site, i.e. geocaching.com.

 

Mind you, it's a small world so I'd expect G:UK already to be on the case
