+travisl
It was mentioned on a tangent in this forum thread, but I thought I'd expand on it here. The Seattle PI is reporting that WWMX.org (World Wide Media eXchange, a Microsoft project) has a web site and application that can associate photographs with coordinates. If this takes off, it'd be a nice way to see perhaps what a site's parking coordinates look like. What might be even cooler is if Jeremy's recent addition of coordinates to images could be seamlessly shared with the WWMX folks. As is expected, the images seem pretty urban-heavy right now. I'm hoping this thing grows, though. There's a lot of cache sites that are popular with non-cachers, too, which means even more images of an area would be available. (Check out the PI article... it's got a lot of good background info.) Quote Link to comment
+SylvrStorm
I ran across another reference to WWMX today and thought it interesting. While it's not specifically geocaching related, it is GPS related. Sea-to-Sea hike SylvrStorm Quote Link to comment
