Jeremy
From the launch of the benchmark section of the web site on May 15, 2002, the capability of adding waypoints to images has been a feature in that section. As the new areas of the web site continue to be moved into the new codebase, it is much easier to share features of one section of the site to another. Therefore we have added the capability to add coordinates to any image. So geocaches, geocache logs, travel bugs and travel bug logs can have coordinates for their images as well. In the future we will extend the gallery functionality so you can look up photos on the web site by location. We'll continue to work on ways to expose the more than 700,000 images already on the Geocaching.com web site. 1 Link to comment
