ik_erwin
Hi, I want to connect my Sportrak to my laptop. I had the pin information, but deleted it (don't know how or when). I can buy a cable but it has only 3 wire's (free) and a serial connector (free). I can also buy a gps connector (€ 5,-). The cable costs € 42,- A differance of € 37,-. All i need is to know were to connect the wire's. You can also connect external power, but how manny volts? If some one know's this info, Thanx Quote Link to comment

+mattopia
I have a SporTrak map and would love the info as well. I'm interested in making a cable to go between it and my Handspring Visor Neo, unless there is any decent places online for such a cable. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
See the FAQ listed below for a referrence to pinouts and a caution about making cables. http://www.pc-mobile.net/maggps.htm has cables, but they have lots of excuses around direct Visor connections. When I have the urge to connect my Visor directl to my Magellans, I do it via a serial docking cradle and just go to the cable on the GPS. Yes, it's quite a mess. Quote Link to comment
