+tdnp
I have just gotten my first GPS. Garmin 76s. I was wanting to know what type of maps I should be looking at. I will be using the unit for sport more that traveling. I would like to start geocaching and will do some four wheeling. I have looked at the US Topo, and seems to fit most of my needs, Any thoughts? Thanks, Tim Quote Link to comment
+Alan2
Assuming you're in the USA, Garmin's Mapsource Topo great for off-road and Metroguide for on road. Third-party programs cannot be downloaded into the GPS Good four wheel mount for your unit is RAM Mounts - check their web page. Good luck Alan Quote Link to comment
+quakemap
take a look at http://www.gpsinformation.net - lots of links to software and reviews there. You may want to try different software titles though, as your definition of the "best" depends on what you want to do with it - so look for downloadable trial versions first. Quote Link to comment
