+ArnoldA
Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to remove the antenna from my Garmin V so I can attach an external antenna. I've read the instructions in the owners manual, but I just can't get it off. Thanks-ArnoldA Quote Link to comment
+worldtraveler
Turn it until it is pointing toward the bottom of the unit and then pull it straight out. You may have to wiggle it a little as you pull, but don't force it. It has to be aligned just right. Worldtraveler Quote Link to comment
smurff
Yep, I had the same problem with my V. The book says to turn it to a 45' angle, but in actuality, point it straight down. Smurff Quote Link to comment
+Centaur
Yups, holding the V lengthwize, you rotate the antenna directly down. If you look close at the base of the antenna, you can see the key grooves you are lineing up to be able to slide the antenna off. Quote Link to comment
