I don't even know what to say except that I must say or do something. Anything. I live in NY. Not near the City but out on the Island. The loss of life is staggering. 20-50,000 people supposedly work in the Towers every day. A majority of them gone. What happened? I know the US is not well-loved throughout the world but this just floors me. Truly an act of terrorism. A nightmare movie come true. US jets patrolling DC air space ready to shoot down anything inbound. Aircraft carriers sent to nY and DC shores to provide cover. Not from enemy fighters or bombers but from inbound, hijacked commercial flights containing hundreds of horrified and helpless people. What can I do? What can any of us do? Sorry for the rant. I'm going into the woods, on my bike, where there are trees and silence and no indication of what our "civilization" is capable of. Prayers and best wishes to all those in need...
