Highway 61 caches

Hey all,

 

In about three weeks when classes are over, I'm hopping on a friend's motorcycle and heading up north into Minnesota.

 

I've driven this route before, several times. I've taken the interestates. I've taken some state highways. I've taken the Great River Road.

 

The theme for this upcoming trip will be US Highway 61. Highway 61 all the way from Memphis to Thunder Bay, Ontario.

 

Of course (duh!) I will be doing some caching along the way.

 

So...

 

If you live north of Memphis, and live near US 61 (or MN 61 or Provincial 61), and know of any good caches near (within 5-10 miles) of the highway, I'd like to hear about 'em.

 

Got a TB that's heading north? (Or south on my way home?) I'll move it along.

 

Live nearby? Wanna get together for a cache? Cool!

 

Any other ideas? I'm probably up for it. (You know, to a point. )

I'm not sure how close 61 comes to the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, but there are a bunch of great caches in the area. Kingboreas is the most prolific cache placer in the area, and all of his caches are good quality. There are also lots of other great caches, too. Happy cachin'!!! 15T

Punch in zip code 55987 and you will see a few cache sites in LaCrosse, WI, Winona, MN, and Wabasha, MN. Hwy 61 goes into the Twin Cities and there are a ton there.
