I wrote a short essay on this subject for my web site. I tried to cover as many bases as I could think of. I would appreciate any comments you have on this. Let me know what I left out, where I'm wrong, and why I'm a total idiot...

The only thing I can see that you've possibly left out would be under #7. It may be understood, but a small first aid kit and bug spray seem to be essentials.

Number 14, change "vandalize" to "disrupt". I'm just thinkg of NPS and BLM managers reading this and thinking, "yeah, we don't want that.

 

Number 21 add, "Try to leave treasures that a child would appreciate".... or something like that. Just trying to find ways to make geocaching sound as wholesome and family/children oriented as it is, This is how we are going to sway BLM managers into the plus catagory.

 

Wish I had your list when I started. Especially 9: smell the roses.
