Sorry this is such a dumb question, but could someone tell me what a virtual cache is please? I haven't purchased a GPS yet (but I'm thinking about a Magellan 315)and there seems to be only 2 caches near me within 30 miles to start with and one says its a "virtual" cache. I haven't found anything on the forums so far to give me an answer. Thanks!

A cache is "something that is hidden".

Virtual means,"in effect, but not in fact" or "not real".

So, a virtual cache is not really a "cache" in the strictest sense. icon_wink.gif

It's a location or an object that is in plain view.
