jeremy,

when i am logged onto geocaching.com and i visit one of my own cache pages, i see an "archive" button at the upper right of the page. can you take a minute and explain what this feature is for, and how you intend it to be used? sorry if i have missed this topic on another thread.

thanks,

larry

It's so you can remove the cache from being listed on the site. At that point you can decide whether to have the cache listed on an archived cache page (for people to check out retired caches).

Function: transitive verb

Inflected Form(s): ar·chived; ar·chiv·ing

Date: 1926

: to file or collect (as records or documents) in or as if in an archive

Before anyone asks, there is no Geocaching Archives section on the site (yet).

Jeremy
