Use caution using the Spherical Functions for solving some of the caches that require coordinate geometry. The Earth is not a sphere, and that fact can add several needless meters of error to your calculations.

 

For example: Using the Bearing and Posdist functions on the following two points N47-39 W122-21 and N47-40.8 W122-18 only three miles apart, gives answers that differ by almost 14 meters from the WGS84 model used by this Great Circle Calculator
