OutfieldJack
Is there any way (such as a program) to convert back and forth? Such as this? Lat: 35.14235 Long: -83.547676 Thanks, Outfieldjack Quote Link to comment
+pater47
for instance in your example the 83 degrees would stay the same (doh!) Take the .547676 multiplied by 60, which would give you a new figure of 32.861 minutes. Do just the opposite to convert back. However, most GPSrs can be programmed to read in whatever format you want it to - a lot simpler to do it that way. Ever notice everybody is willing to give THEIR 2 cents worth but only offer a penny for YOUR thoughts? Quote Link to comment

+M-D-M Explorations
I often use the web site at http://www.jeeep.com/details/coord/ when I want to make some translations. There is also a little program available that handle all the translations to the various formats. M-D-M Explorations MrSki and DogMa 40º 07.874'N 88º 11.647'W Quote Link to comment
