m2fun Posted March 7, 2002 Share Posted March 7, 2002 V and Vista Ques 1. - I want to load multiple areas (i.e. MA, VA, and SC metro guide maps) to both units. The download process deletes existing downloaded maps. Is it possible to the maps as 3 different files containing the area maps or is it necessary to create one large file will all maps? Ques 2. - Can metro guide and the mapsource topo or roads and recreation maps be loaded to unit at the same time? Thanks for the assistance. Quote Link to comment
+GOT GPS? Posted March 7, 2002 Share Posted March 7, 2002 You can save different map combinations to your hard drive, but only can upload 1 map combination at a time to the GPS. This is what makes the eMap a better unit, in that you can load in different map sets into each memory module, then change the memory module when you are driving into another area. +GOT GPS? Posted March 7, 2002 Share Posted March 7, 2002 I just wished that Garmin came out with a 32 megabyte GPS V, that you can load with all the maps you need. For instance, you might need to drive from Detroit Mich to Boston Mass, and do some caches on the way. Quote Link to comment
